| The ECC803S JJ is an exact super premium replacement for all 12AX7/ECC83 types. It has a plate structure like the normal 12AX7 unlike the ECC83S JJ which has a shorter plate. It has little shiny metal fins on the plate to help throw off heat and increase efficiency. The sound is big, full and rich. A wonderful audio tube as well as a guitar amp tube. We test for noise and microphonics included in the listed price. Higher grades are listed for guitar combo amps and phono pre amp applications.
